Telling God What We’re Thinking

A collection of prayers and reflections for those times when we struggle to find the words to say to God.

Telling God What We’re Thinking grew out of a simple conviction: prayer does not require polished words. God already knows what is in our hearts, including the questions, frustrations, gratitude, fear, joy, and confusion we sometimes struggle to express.

These prayers and reflections are meant to help us speak honestly with God and to recognize that even our unfinished thoughts can become prayer.

Available in paperback, hardcover, and digital editions.

About the Book

Telling God What We’re Thinking is a collection of prayers and reflections born out of ordinary life—moments of gratitude, uncertainty, frustration, hope, fear, and faith. It is written for people who sometimes find prayer difficult, awkward, or unfinished, and who need the reminder that God is not waiting for polished language before He listens.

These pages are not a formula for prayer. They are an invitation to honesty—to bring God what is actually in our minds and hearts, and to trust that conversation can begin there.

What You’ll Find Inside

  • Honest prayers — words for gratitude, fear, frustration, uncertainty, and hope.

  • Reflections from ordinary life — moments that become places of conversation with God.

  • An invitation to speak plainly — not polished prayer, but truthful prayer.
